Matthias Warnung, Potato Land 2022

Matthias Warnung grew up in a traditional, small family-owned winery. However, after spending time in vineyards around the world, his passion for producing natural wines grew. Sticking to his mantra of producing wines as if they were only for himself (good on him), he makes his unique wines from just 10h of vineyard space. Potato Land 2022 is made from 100% organically farmed Grüner Veltliner, Austria's indigenous white grape. Made with a touch of skin contact, it has a bit more weight on the palate than you'd usually expect from this variety. Ridiculously moreish, crisp, bright and fragrant with notes of citrus and stone fruits, and a textured finish from those skins. A really great pair with char-grilled veg.
